PITTSBURGH, March 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — “We wanted to create a better way for a fisherman to secure a fish to a cutting board for cleaning and filleting,” said one of two inventors, from Kalamazoo, Mich., “so we invented THE FIRST MATE. Our improved cutting board design would make cleaning catches a quicker and safer process.”
The patent-pending invention provides an improved cutting board for fishermen. In doing so, it enables the user to secure the fish to the board. As a result, it prevents the fish from shifting and slipping on the board. Thus, it offers an easier way to gut, clean, and fillet catches. The invention features a practical and portable design that is easy to use so it is ideal for fishing enthusiasts. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.
The original design was submitted to the National sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
