Katrien Verlinden will assume the role of President of Exyte’s Global Business Unit Advanced Technology Facilities (ATF) starting April 14, 2025. Verlinden, who previously served as President and CEO of Saipem America Inc., brings over 25 years of international leadership experience to her new position. Mark Garvey, an Exyte Executive Board Member, will shift his focus to his role as CEO of ATF, overseeing the business segment at the board level.
CEO Büchele expressed his confidence in Verlinden’s abilities, stating that her expertise in global projects and leadership will help accelerate Exyte’s progress towards its strategic goals. Verlinden will be based in Singapore and will report to Mark Garvey, who has been leading ATF since January 2020. With this appointment, Garvey will concentrate on his responsibilities as a Board Member and CEO of ATF.
ATF is Exyte’s largest business segment, primarily operating in the semiconductor and battery cell sectors. Verlinden’s appointment reflects Exyte’s commitment to growth and innovation in these industries. She is known for her operational expertise in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) in the energy sector and is highly regarded by clients and industry peers.
Verlinden’s previous experience at Saipem, where she held various international management roles, has prepared her well for her new position at Exyte. She studied engineering at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium and completed executive education at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Fluent in multiple languages, including Dutch, Italian, English, and French, she also has a keen interest in Korean and Japanese cultures.
