Velico Partners with Our Blood Institute to Advance Blood Center Education Program
Velico, a medical technology company based in Beverly, Massachusetts, is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Our Blood Institute (OBI), the nation’s sixth-largest independent blood center. OBI will be participating in Velico’s Blood Center Education Program (BCEP), which aims to provide strategic blood system partners with hands-on experience using the FrontlineODP™ (On Demand Plasma) system for spray drying plasma. This collaborative program will allow OBI to evaluate the integration of the system into their blood component production operations and provide valuable feedback on its commissioning and operational aspects.

Velico’s FrontlineODP™ technology addresses the global concern of preventable death from hemorrhage following trauma. Stored in a flexible plastic bag, FrontlineODP™ can be rehydrated quickly with sterile water for injection, making it ready for transfusion in just 2½ minutes.
