Huawei Introduces Digital Training 2.0 Solution at MWC Forum in Barcelona

Huawei unveiled its Digital Training 2.0 solution at the forum “Cultivating ICT Talent to Amplify Digital Education” during this year’s MWC in Barcelona, Spain on March 12, 2025. The solution aims to assist universities in nurturing better ICT talents to meet the global demand for skilled professionals.

Li Junfeng, Vice President of Huawei and CEO of the Global Public Sector BU, emphasized the role of intelligent technologies in advancing digital productivity, with the smart economy now serving as a key driver of growth.

Ramon Iriarte, UNESCO’s senior education expert, and Soledad Patiño, Coordinator of the UNESCO Global Skills Academy, highlighted the partnership with Huawei in providing high-quality education to 300,000 students annually.

Frank Huang, Technical Director of the Education Sector in Huawei Global’s Public Sector Business, presented the Digital Training 2.0 solution. This solution offers courses in 22 technical disciplines and project management globally, with training labs in 11 technical fields such as AI, Cloud Computing, and Big Data.

Professor Justin Mendes from the Shenyang Institute of Technology discussed the success of the international industrial school established in collaboration with Huawei, enabling students to secure quality employment opportunities.

Daniele Cesarini, CINECA Project Manager and HPC Technology Expert, shared Italy’s experience in building a supercomputing research infrastructure.

Flora Ng, Head of IT and Librarian at the University of Hong Kong, introduced Huawei’s Smart Campus solution, utilizing Wi-Fi 7 technologies to optimize wireless networks and operations for a more efficient and personalized environment for students and teachers.

Tea Wang, Director of the International Affairs Office at Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University, showcased the joint Innovation Industry College and Training Center established with Huawei. In 2024, 790 students obtained Huawei certifications in various ICT disciplines.

Huawei has introduced scenario-based “1+3” solutions including Digital Training, Smart Classroom, Scientific Research Computing, and Smart Campus in over 120 countries and regions, benefiting more than 7800 customers in the education sector.

The company aims to deepen partnerships with global stakeholders to accelerate the integration of technologies into education, fostering a future where intelligent education empowers individuals and drives sustainable progress.
