NBCA Hall of Fame Foundation Presents 19th Annual Taste of Heritage Gala in Atlanta
The National Black College Alumni (NBCA) Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc. is excited to announce the 19th Annual Thomas W. Dortch, Jr. Taste of Heritage Gala in Atlanta. This powerful celebration of Black culinary brilliance, culture, and the enduring legacy of a visionary leader, Thomas W. Dortch, Jr., will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the iconic Hyatt Regency Atlanta from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
This year’s gala not only marks a culinary milestone but also reaffirms the values championed by the late founder, Thomas W. Dortch, Jr.—education, mentorship, and the empowerment of future generations. The gala supports scholarships for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the sustainability of Black colleges and the programs that uplift their legacy.
Experience a Culinary & Cultural Extravaganza
Guests attending the gala will be treated to a five-course gourmet meal with wine pairings prepared by an exceptional lineup of eight award-winning chefs, including Chef Thomas McKeown from Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Chef Shenarri Freeman, Chef Idris Muhammad, Chef Edouardo Jordan, Chef Vallery Lomas, Chef Mark Holley, Chef Shawn Osbey, and Chef Averriel Thomas.
An Unforgettable Night
The gala promises to be a dynamic evening filled with music, connection, and celebration. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on a curated silent auction featuring unique experiences and luxury items that reflect heritage, excellence, and community.
