Huawei Unveils Next-Generation Energy Facility Architecture and AI Data Center Construction Guide
In a groundbreaking product and solution launch at MWC Barcelona 2025, He Bo, President of Huawei’s Critical Power and Data Center Facilities product line, introduced the “Single SitePower” next-generation energy facility architecture and the AI RAS Data Center Construction Guide. These innovations aim to empower operators to thrive as energy prosumers and build superior ICT facilities in the new era of AI.
Single SitePower: Next-Generation Intelligent Energy Facility Architecture
Single SitePower is an intelligent next-generation solution architecture for on-site energy facilities. It utilizes a unique three-level synergy mechanism that covers on-site energy facilities, wireless networks, and electrical networks to enable bidirectional interaction of energy and information flows from the energy source, network, and load to storage. The architecture supports full-link detection, visualization, and management, enhancing Site Energy Efficiency (SEE) and Power Availability (PAV) while reducing Network Energy Intensity (NCIe). It offers three distinctive features:
– Resilient: Huawei integrates wireless networks and on-site energy facility networks to establish synergies between network and source, source and storage, and storage and load, building resilient facilities throughout the process.
– Eco-friendly: Leading-edge technologies such as high-voltage series connection, optimizers, intelligent algorithms, arc fault circuit interrupters (AFCIs), and rapid shutdown devices (RSDs) can be used to construct eco-friendly sites and accelerate the monetization of ecological energy value.
– Reliable: Huawei believes that safe and high-quality lithium batteries should be the primary consideration to ensure reliable communication.
RAS(TM): AI Data Center Construction Guideline
From general-purpose computing to AI computing, data centers must address four main challenges: reliability, uncertainty, fast delivery, and high energy demand. Through joint innovation with global clients, Huawei proposes the RAS(TM) AI Data Center Construction Guideline:
– Reliability: As the value of AI facilities increases dramatically, reliability becomes a major challenge. AI data centers must adopt enhanced architecture, products, intelligent management, and professional services to ensure reliability throughout their lifecycle.
– Agility: AI data centers must be agile and embrace modular design and electromechanical decoupling to flexibly address uncertain requirements and enable fast delivery.
– Sustainability: Power supply efficiency will be a significant concern for data centers. The focus on energy efficiency improvement will shift from individual equipment efficiency to parallel system efficiency and then to the large-scale application of the super-economic control operation mode (S-ECO).
“We advocate for the concept of Power for AI & AI for Power and will continuously invest in technological innovation to promote deeper integration of digital, intelligent, and low-carbon technologies, building resilient, eco-friendly, and reliable ICT facilities, helping operators transition from energy consumers to prosumers,” said He Bo.
The MWC Barcelona 2025 is taking place from March 3 to 6 in Barcelona, Spain. During the event, Huawei will showcase its latest products and solutions at booth 1H50 in Pavilion 1 of Fira Gran Via. In 2025, the commercial implementation of 5G-Advanced will accelerate, and AI will help operators restructure businesses, infrastructure, and operations and maintenance. Huawei is actively collaborating with operators and partners worldwide to expedite the transition to a smart world.
